Description

Oahu’s North Shore might just be the most beautiful place to skydive, with the ocean rushing towards you as you fall through the Hawaiian skies at 120 mph. On a clear day, you can see other Hawaiian islands, Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, and the North Shore coastline. During the winter, you might see whales.

All of their jumps are tandem (meaning you’re strapped to a skydiving instructor) and the most popular ones are from 12,000 and 14, 000 feet. Although, if you’re feeling especially adventurous you can opt for a 20,000 ft (HALO) jump that requires supplemental oxygen during part of the flight.

Whether you’re a first timer or have skydived before, this is a thrill ride with unmatched views of ocean, rainforest, and white sand beaches. The instructors are good at setting any nerves at ease and also explaining what you’re looking at as you skydive.

Walk-ins are welcome but you’ll get discounts for booking ahead of time.

TIPS + TRICKS

  • Don’t forget your license or passport. You absolutely need your government issued ID or you won’t be allowed to jump.

  • Schedule your jump for early in your trip. That way, if your jump gets canceled due to weather, you still have time to reschedule.

  • Book first thing in the morning if you can. Every once in a while, afternoon jumps get canceled if it’s too windy or cloudy.

  • Walk-ins are welcome, but expect a long wait. Luckily, you can hang out and watch other people jump while you wait for your turn.

  • Make a reservation in advance. You’ll get a discounted rate and it’ll cut down on your waiting time when you get there.

  • Discounts are available if you reserve your spot online (at least 24 hours in advance and through their site, not a 3rd party). Also for Military, Students, Birthdays, and Groups.

  • If you want photos or videos, let the cashier know when you turn in your liability release.

FYI

  • Your reservation time is your check-in time, not your jump time.

  • You must be 18 or older.

  • You must be under 240 pounds to jump. There’s an additional charge of $2 / pound over 200 pounds.

  • Skydiving is weather dependent and wait times can vary. They can be from 2-5 hours long.

  • Full refunds can be issued up until 48 hours before your reservation. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your reservation are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. You MUST cancel 48 hours in advance or show up and jump on the day of your reservation to avoid losing your $50 deposit. Any fees in excess of $50 collected for services will remain on your account for up to one year.

  • If you show up and can’t jump due to weather or other conditions, you may reschedule your reservation to another day within one year without penalty. Refunds may be requested with a $5 or 3% (whichever is higher) service charge.

  • Some people complain that even with a reservation they faced a long wait but others said they had no issues.

  • The Highest Tandem in Hawaii 20,000’ (HALO) will require supplemental oxygen during part of the light. Advance notice of 96 hours and $300 per person deposit required. Limit to 2 tandem jumpers per flight.

  • You must sign a risk agreement.

  • There’s a 5% airport access fee added to all sales.

  • There’s a 3.5% credit card processing fee attached to all card transactions.
