Here are Oahu’s latest Covid restrictions and guidelines, all in one place.

(If you’re looking for Hawaii-wide travel restrictions, including what you need to know to travel to Oahu or any other Hawaiian island, this is the article you’re looking for.)

No Mask Requirements

  • On March 25, 2022, Hawaii dropped their indoor mask mandate.

  • On April 20, 2022, the federal mask mandate was struck down by a federal judge, meaning masks are no longer required on public transportation (like domestic flights, taxis, Ubers, Lyfts, etc.)

  • Keep in mind that Hawaii businesses can still require employees or customers to wear a mask.

No Vaccine Pass (aka Safe Access Oahu)

Oahu used to require proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test to dine indoors or enter businesses like museums, arcade, movie theaters, etc. This went away on March 6, 2022.
